Operating mobile on a sunny day in Torquay. Only on 2m this time, and the airwaves were pretty quiet. But it's a nice view anyway.

History of G2DXU

G2DXU was originally the callsign of my late relative, Robert Lever, who had been a radio amateur since his teens in the 1930's. In World War 2 Bob served as a Flight Sergeant in the RAF. He married Jo in 1952. Bob was a businessman and also a keen private pilot with his own airplane. He remained active in amateur radio into his 80's. Bob became a Silent Key in 2007 at the age of 90 years old.

I have held the callsign since the beginnng of 2011.

If you have ever QSO'd with Bob on the radio over the years I would be glad to hear from you.
